Quentin Tarantino dreht Western mit Christoph Waltz?

Nachdem sich auch Quentin Tarantinos “Inglourious Basterds” als Geniestreich entpuppte, warten die Filmwelt natürlich wieder einmal auf sein nächstes Werk. Jetzt sind Gerüchte im Umlauf, dass es sich dabei um einen Western handeln soll, für den Tarantino nicht nur Altstars wie Franco Nero, Keith Caradine und Treat Williams verpflichten will, auch der deutsche “Basterds”-Bösewicht Christoph Waltz, der für seine Rolle im letzten Jahr sogar einen Oscar bekam, soll wieder mit von der Partie sein. Man darf also wieder einmal gespannt sein, was Tarantino uns dieses Mal auf die Leinwand bringen wird.

    “Django is a freed slave, who, under the tutelage of a German bounty hunter (Christopher Waltz) becomes a bad-ass bounty hunter himself, and after assisting Waltz in taking down some bad guys for profit, is helped by Waltz in tracking down his slave wife and liberating her from an evil plantation owner. And that doesn’t even half begin to cover it! This film deals with racism as I’ve rarely seen it handled in a Hollywood film. While it’s 100 percent pure popcorn and revenge flick, it is pure genius in the way it takes on the evil slave owning south. Think of what he did with the Nazis in Inglorious and you’ll get a sense of what he’s doing with slave owners and slave overseers in this one.”

  5. schön das tarantino einerseits auf alt bewährtes setz und anderes seits eine neue variante aus probiert. Ich bin sowie fan von langen Dialogen mich störts nicht und will smith und samuel l. jackson als Hauptrollen finde ich gut nur frage ich mich ob Christoph Waltz wieder seine leistung bringen wird auf inglourious basterds niveau, aber ansonsten stört mich nichts daran.
