Die “Blood-and-Ice-Cream”-Trilogie von Regisseur Edgar Wright mit Simon Pegg und Nick Frost wurde zwar mit “The World’s End” zum Abschluss gebracht, doch nun kündigte Pegg an, dass das Trio sehr wahrscheinlich weitere Filme machen werde – diese sich allerdings wohl ein wenig von der “Cornetto”-Trilogie unterscheiden werden. Es gebe für das nächste Projekt schon Pläne und sogar einen Titel; vielleicht soll der Film sogar der Startschuss einer neuen Trilogie sein:
“Edgar and I were having a conversation the other day about it, and it has a title and everything. We’re kind of into a creative cycle now. […] The coming-together thing is without question on the table and will happen when we can do it. […] We made three films in ten years and hopefully in the next decade we’ll make another three. I really love working with those guys and I wouldn’t ever not want to work with them. It’s not even a question.“
Man kann gespannt sein; “Shaun of the Dead”, “Hot Fuzz” und “The World’s End” gehören zu den besten Komödien der letzten Jahre!
